Scenes 11-14

Lurking nearby, Roxanne, Witch of the Sea, and her Electric Eels have a plot to lure Ariel into a deal. Tempted by the promise of legs and the chance to experience the human world, Ariel makes a daring bargain, signing the contract, unaware of the risks. She gives up her voice, which is magically contained in a seashell, a shimmering reminder of her connection to the sea and the power she has temporarily surrendered.
